You have three hours, one rainforest, and a crew that cannot agree on anything. Somebody wants to drive. Somebody wants to ride on the back and film. Somebody has been riding dirt bikes since they were twelve and will not stop talking about it. Good news: at 869ATVentures every machine runs the same trails out of Wingfield Rainforest, so the only real question is which seat fits which person.
Here is how our three machines compare, who each one suits, and what it costs, so you can pick your ride before you step off the ship.
Pick the ATV if you want to steer your own machine and feel every bump of the trail. Pick the UTV (side by side) if you want to sit next to your people, bring the kids, or keep one hand free for the camera. Pick the dirt bike only if you already ride off road and want a private run with a guide. If your crew wants all three, book Mix and Match and everybody rolls out together.
This is the tour we built 869ATVentures on. You sit on your own four wheeler, thumb on the throttle, and follow your guide estate to estate along the sugarcane field trails. Expect the Wingfield Mountains, centuries old sugar plantation ruins, views of Brimstone Hill Fortress, remote villages, local farms, and, if luck is on your side, the island monkeys.
Best for: couples, friends, and teens who want the full hands on feeling. A double rider ATV is a good middle ground when one of you wants to drive and the other wants to hold on and shout directions.
A side by side is a UTV: steering wheel, seats next to each other, roll cage overhead. You still drive the trail yourself, but you do it shoulder to shoulder with your crew. It is the easiest way to keep a family together, and it is the only tour where small children can come along.
Best for: families with young kids, groups who want to talk the whole way, and anyone who would rather hold a steering wheel than handlebars. Split the price of a 6 seater across a full crew and it is often the friendliest option on the list. Your convoy rides with a lead guide out front and stops built in for photos.
This one is for the motocross people. The Dirt Bike Duo is a private, one on one run: you, your riding partner, and your guide on the same rainforest and estate trails, at a pace that suits riders who know what they are doing.
Best for: experienced riders who want a bucket list ride, not a lesson. If you have never ridden a dirt bike, this is not the day to learn. Book the ATV and come back for the bike next cruise.
The curious teen, the laid back mom, the bold and daring dad. Mix and Match lets you build your own convoy: UTVs for pairs, ATVs for solo riders, dirt bikes for the experienced. Everybody takes the same departure and rides the same trail together. Pricing depends on the machines you pick, so call or message us and we will build it with you.

Whatever you pick, your ATVenture starts the same way. You meet your guide at our base at Wingfield Estate, Old Road, and get a full safety briefing on how your machine works. Then comes a familiarization session on the practice course so you have the hang of it before the convoy rolls out. Helmets, goggles, and bandanas are provided. Our guides are native Kittitians who lead and sweep every convoy, so nobody rides alone and nobody gets left in the dust.
Every machine also gets muddy. Wear closed shoes and clothes you do not mind getting dirty, bring sunscreen, and leave the white outfit on the ship.
All three tours run about three hours, and our base is roughly a 20 to 25 minute taxi ride from Port Zante. Departures leave daily at 8:45 AM, 10:45 AM, and 12:45 PM. Book 2 to 7 days ahead, tell us your ship and your all aboard time, and we will plan your convoy so you are back at the port with room to spare. Our cruise day timing guide walks through the whole day.
Look at your crew and ask two questions. Does anyone under 6 need a seat? Then it is a side by side. Does anyone already ride dirt bikes and want to open it up? Add a bike through Mix and Match. Everyone else will be grinning on an ATV. See every tour on our tours page, or call or WhatsApp +1 869-668-1298 and we will match you to a machine.
Let’s go on an #ATVenture and Make Memories TOGETHER.
